USisUS.org “The United States is US!” is a website hosted and supported by Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts that allows the public to post reviews of government-funded health care services and programs.

The goal of USisUS.org is to improve the quality of government-funded health care services and programs. This is done by quickening the feedback loop from patients and those involved in healthcare delivery to program managers and directors at the top of the bureaucracy.

USisUS.org is intended as a place where users of public programs can give their opinions about the quality of those services, and a place where others may come to review those comments and make choices about service locations.

USisUS.org is also intended as a place where managers and other government officials can go to learn about how users are feeling about service quality in order to make appropriate quality improvements.

Purposes of USisUS.org:

• To give a voice to users of public programs to comment on program quality and delivery and to make constructive suggestions.
• To give a voice to staff members employed in government-funded health care services and programs to comment and make constructive suggestions.
• To notify program managers and directors of feedback.
• To “raise the bar” on comment quality by insisting on constructive feedback and respectful tone. Simmons students personally review flagged posts and communicate with reviewers.
• To provide a place where others may come to review those comments and make choices about service locations.
• To provide a place where managers and other government officials can go to learn about how users are feeling about service quality in order to make appropriate quality improvements.
• To notify the public via press releases, blogs and other means of the highest and lowest rated service providers and programs, and of the most highly rated suggestions posted by members.
• To allow patients to directly notify a healthcare provider of a problem and the healthcare provider to respond to the problem if they choose, in order to encourage healthy and productive debate.
• To provide a message forum for program managers and directors to privately and anonymously, if they so desire, discuss issues and solutions.
